Schedule
Every 2nd week Saturday afternoon starting on 11 January 2025. Doors will open at 2pm and we
expect to close between 5 and 6pm. A championship will be run for Winter, Spring, Summer and
Autumn. See next page for Championship points scoring.
Meeting and Race Format
The meeting will be in 2 parts – an informal ‘have a go’ practice session for about 30 minutes
followed by an organised race for all people which should run until 5pm.
1. ‘Have a Go’ practice can be any car you like – its just about having a bit of fun.
2. The organised race will be for 2 classes - Saloon and GT cars (see below for rules)
3. Both races will be a 1-minute run alone on a chosen lane with the distance covered determining the qualifying order. Then a series of segmented 2 minute finals (2 minutes on each lane).
Results determined on furthest distance covered on all 4 lanes. Win (or loose) from any final.
Car Rules - SALOON
Any BTCC / Rally Saloon car from the 1970s to the present day
The only permitted modifications are
1. Truing tyres to make them round
2. Lights can be disconnected
3. Adding some weight (lead) to keep the car in the slot.
There are plenty of examples available for low prices on Ebay.
We will always have club cars and controllers so ‘no equipment’ is no excuse.
Car Rules - GTAny manufacturer's GT car from the 1970s to the present day
The only permitted modifications are
1. Fitting of alloy rear wheels and rubber tyres which can be trued to make them round
2. Fitting of replacement wooden track guide
3. Fitting of replacement axles and gears but the ratio must remain as standard
4. Lights may be disconnected
5. Adding some weight (lead) to keep the car in the slot.
6. Foam (sponge) tyres and Silicon tyres are NOT permitted
7. Motors must be as the manufacturer supplied with a max 25000 rpm limit.
8. Saloons that comply with the Saloon rules above may be raced in the GT class
Fees
Fees for the session will be £4 per adult and £2 for children under 18 (aways to be accompanied
by an adult).
